New England Patriots Are the Betting Favorites to Pick Travis Hunter

New England Patriots Are the Betting Favorites to Pick Travis Hunter

Travis Hunter’s two seasons at Colorado showed that he’s capable of dominating both sides of the ball, and the Heisman Trophy winner is expected to be one of the top picks this year.

But where exactly is he going to land in the NFL draft? NFL betting sites say the New England Patriots, but let’s dive into it a bit deeper.

Patriots Lead the Betting Odds

NFL betting sites play a major role in how fans interact with the league. They’re often right, not only when it comes to predicting winners but also major draft picks. When checking these sites, fans can rely on NFL betting sites reviews to find the best platforms for checking odds and placing bets.

According to these sites, it’s the England Patriots who will land Travis Hunter in the 2025 NFL draft. They hold the fourth overall pick and lack a No.1 receiver in their offense. With Hunter, they would also get a player who can slot in at cornerback, another position the team has to address in the offseason.

While experts are still debating whether Hunter will slot in offense, defense, or both, at the next level, it’s sure he could make a difference for the Patriots wherever he plays.

Other Teams in the Picture

While NFL betting sites favor the Patriots to land Hunter, whether or not this is going to happen depends largely on the New York Giants, as they hold the third overall pick in the draft.

They are the second-favorites to pick Hunter. However, this means they would have to pass on one of the quarterback options, which is highly unlikely. Most mocks have the Giants picking QB Shedeur Sanders following the release of Daniel Jones in November.

With that said, Hunter will likely be available once it’s time for the Patriots to make their pick.

The Tennessee Titans are also in the mix for Hunter and are viewed as the third-favorites to land him. While they currently hold the first overall pick, reports say they’re open to offers and moving down in the draft.

Another option is the Cleveland Browns, but most mocks have them using their second overall pick on one of the two QBs — Ward and Saunders or DE Abdul Carter.

Lastly, if all of the abovementioned teams and the Patriots pass on the Heisman winner, he could fall to the Jaguars or the Raiders at number five and number six, respectively.

Other Options for Patriots

Experts agree that if one of Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter is on the board, they should select one of them. In a scenario where both have been selected within the first three picks, the Patriots could easily trade down and grab someone like OT Will Campbell.

Ronnie Stanley was viewed as the top target for the Patriots but has since signed an extension with the Ravens. With limited options remaining in free agency, the Patriots may turn to the draft as the best path to strengthening their protection up front.

Campbell also displayed real leadership traits at LSU and is regarded for his high-end work ethic and passion for the game.

Another option for the Patriots could be Arizona’s Tetairoa McMillan. He could be the “X” wide receiver the franchise need, and they could pick up another Day 2 pick in the process.

Although McMillan didn’t test at the NFL Scouting Combine and his speed has been questioned, he was a master at making contested catches in college and could be a worthwhile pick for the Patriots.

Conclusion

According to the NFL betting sites, we could easily see Hunter in the Patriots jersey next season. However, several potential draft day trades could shake up the order and impact which team ultimately lands the dynamic two-way star.
