What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
I have wanted to be a football player since I was a kid. My dad was the head football coach at my high school. I’ve been surrounded by football for as long as I can remember.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments so far have been playing football for Coach Ferentz, Coach Parker, and all my coaches and teammates at the University of Iowa and Xavier High School. Also, being able to play in two Big Ten Championships, bowl games and winning two state championships in high school.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Going forward, I am looking to add value to a football team in the NFL.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
If I could hang out with any football player, it would be Harrison Smith because I would like to pick his brain about all thing’s life and football.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My parents inspire me the most because they have done so much for me. They have sacrificed a lot and continue to help me every day.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
I enjoy playing all defensive schemes. I enjoy zone coverages because it allows eyes to be on the QB for turnovers, and I enjoy man coverages because I like the physical presence it requires.
What should we know about Quinn Schulte the person?
Quinn Schulte is trustworthy, hardworking, a leader, and tries to be like Christ every day.
What stands out about your film the most?
My film demonstrates that I have play recognition, decisiveness and that I can be the quarterback of a defense. It also demonstrates my ability to tackle, be physical, be in the right place at the right time, and create turnovers.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I put my trust in the Lord, surround myself with people I can count on for advice, and listen to my coaches.
What would a team get in a player like you?
I think they will be getting a winner and competitor who is going to put the team first and someone who loves football. They will get someone who will do their job.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love the process and preparation it takes to succeed and be great. I also love the physicality of the game and the mental toughness it takes to play the game.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Nick Jackson because he has a lot of experience playing football and does his job.
