  • TE, Indiana (transfer from James Madison)
  • Games: TST, SCCC VAUN

Summary: Senior.  Transferred in from JMU.  Lacks ideal height and is a marginal receiver with decent skills in pass protection but is a very good run blocker and physical player who plays with high effort. Thick claves, wide butt, has frame to grow and add bulk.  Versatile usage – used in motion, has aligned as a Y, on the LOS in Bunch sets. Has a good first step off the LOS.  As a run blocker, he is very good.  Good inside hand placement, good leg drive, runs his feet on contact and can drive defenders off the ball.  Very tough and physical player.  Quick to release off the LOS and block in space.  Will occasionally fall down but generally plays with good balance and stays on his feet.  Very effective run blocker at the second level.  Will lunge in his posture but plays with high effort to overcome his flaws and lack of technique.  Really needs to develop as a receiver this fall in order to become a more well-rounded prospect.  Not a good route runner, rounds his cuts, doesn’t display much burst in/out of breaks.  Not used as much in pass protection either.

Power Statement: Strong run blocker who needs to develop as a receiver to add value to an NFL team.
