Player Summary:

6th YR RS SR and 1 yr full-time starter at RB in the gap/zone blocking scheme of NDST where he receives approximately 8-10 carries per game. He transferred from TXMU in ’21. He possesses good height with very good weight and ordinary speed with solid length and a muscular build. He is an average athlete showing a combination of good balance with average COD, explosiveness, acceleration, lateral quickness, and agility with average top-end play speed. He displays sufficient vision as he finds the open hole on IZ/OZ and exhibits solid patience in waiting for his blocks to be set up on power runs. On outside runs, he uses his average lateral quickness and agility to beat LB/DB with marginal play speed to the perimeter before turning the corner. He exhibits solid contact balance as he keeps his feet moving on contact breaking tackles from DB with below-average explosiveness and does a good job finishing the run by falling forward for extra yardage. In pass pro, he locates the blitzing LB and shows the willingness to block before squaring up and using his hands. As a receiver, he runs mainly flats and curls and shows good hands as he exhibits above-average manual dexterity that enables him to possess a catch radius that allows him to catch the ball with his hands away from his body. He plays with very good mental toughness as he does not shy away from contact and elevates his play in big games. He exhibits adequate burst which prevents him from getting through the hole quickly when running inside. He displays below-average play strength preventing him from maintaining his block in pass pro against LB with good size and physical toughness. He lacks the home run speed needed to gain significant YAC in the passing game and big gains consistently as a runner.

Scheme Fit:

RB in zone or gap scheme.

Power Statement:

Mentally tough player who is a willing blocker in pass pro. Lack of home run speed limits his YAC as a receiver and prevents him from making big gains when running the ball.
