Player Summary:

A red-shirt senior who started in 19 of 36 games in his career, and has played both guard spots and left tackle.  Solid height and weight with a big lower body that helps him hold the point on strong pass rushers. Displays adequate short area burst in the run-and-pass game with marginal speed in the open field and getting to the second level. Solid UOH in the run game. Always works to gain leverage with hands to finish the defender. Plays with solid strength in the run game by moving defensive linemen off the ball, and maintaining positional leverage. Excels in gap plays when he is working with the guard in a double team/ chip technique. Makes running lanes bigger and can snap off to get the flowing LB over the top or pins him inside. Solid FBI dissecting if an additional defender is blitzing, or being able to pick up a twist stunt and pass it off successfully.  At the POA, he displays adequate competitiveness as he is physically tough when engaging blocks and striving to finish the defender or displacing second-level defenders. A marginal zone blocker as he struggles to redirect his body on slanting defenders, or defenders that are getting off of his block. Struggles with maintaining balance at times, in a crowded box, which can be improved.

Scheme Fit:

Gap Scheme Position-OG

Power Statement:

Leveston is a big bruising blocker that is a solid competitor in the run and pass game.  Drops his anchor against the bull rush and has adequate feet to get to his spot, in pass protection, and redirects the rusher or stops him dead in his tracks. Very solid in the gap scheme run game.  Even though he played both OG and OT at the collegiate level, he has a tremendous upside at OG with his size, strength, and quick burst.
