Pittman’s Pocket: True Freshmen Making Plays in the HBCU

There were 3 Freshmen making a significant impact in this past Saturday’s SWAC/MEAC challenge.
South Carolina State has 2 stellar running backs that were making plays left and right.
#22 Jawarn Howell looked impressive in his first start, rushing for 24 yards on 8 carries, averaging 3.0 yards per carry. Howell is a very strong runner, who is quick to cut, and has balance. The Highly recruited 3 ⭐ running back will continue to improve in the upcoming weeks.
Kacy Fields #20 was another dynamic True Freshman playing in Atlanta with 2 carries for 6 yards, with each carry averaging 3.0 yards. Fields showed short bursts and good running hole engagement. The 3 ⭐ still looked impressive.
Jackson State true Freshman Isaiah Spencer has seemingly impressed T.C. Taylor over the summer by picking up Jackson State’s offense and has shown off his big playmaking abilities in practice. The former 3 ⭐ put on a show this weekend. He hauled in 5 receptions for 64 yards, averaging 12.8 yards a catch. Jackson State got themselves a gamer in Spencer.
Pittman’s Pocket and NFLDRAFTDIAMONDS will have a top True Freshman class for HBCU football, in the upcoming season 2023.
