Player Summary:

Senior. Versatile EDGE prospect who will occasionally align as a 2-tech. Very good pass rusher with the athleticism to be a legitimate NFL prospect. Has strong upper body strength and a developed lower half with room to grow and add weight to his frame. As a pass rusher, he is very good. Has great first-step quickness, flashes explosiveness, and a good twitch at the snap. Can sometimes win on the first step, quickly get around opposing OTs and collapse the pocket. Has a great initial punch to shed blocks and send opposing OLs back on their toes with his edge speed. Takes good pursuit angles to the QB and doesn’t break contain. Plays with good leverage, bend, and hand use. Needs to work on developing pass rush moves to add to his arsenal, primarily just a bull rusher. Can drop back in coverage and defend v. pass. Against the run, he is above average. Uses his length to lock out and sets a vertical edge to open up gaps for his teammates to make tackles and sacks. Takes on double-team blocks and flashes good base strength to anchor, does not get moved from his spot very often. Has a high motor, high effort, and works to the whistle. Would like to see him work on tackling better, especially in space; has many times where he will whiff or miss an open-field tackle. High upside prospect with a bunch of raw athletic ability: put up phenomenal track and field numbers in high school.

Scheme Fit:

EDGE prospect in a 3-4 scheme.

Power Statement:

Adetomiwa is a great EDGE prospect with the athleticism and pass rush abilities to be a high-quality NFL prospect.
