Vikings GM had concerns over keeping Quarterback Kirk Cousins? | He is no Mahomes or Brady….

The Minnesota Vikings have a new Sheriff in town and Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is hoping to turn the Vikings franchise around. Well, the Vikings new GM was not sold on his quarterback.
Jori Epstein dropped an article Friday on USA Today Sports, Adofo-Mensah did not seem too confident in his decision to retain Cousins.
While the Minnesota GM believes that Kirk Cousins is a “good quarterback,” he acknowledged that Cousins is no Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes.
“I’ll be frank,” Adofo-Mensah said. “The one asset where you get nervous about not burning it down is quarterback.”
“(The Super Bowl) is more likely to win if you have that quarterback,” Adofo-Mensah said. “It’s very unlikely to have that quarterback.”
Vikings have a new head coach though who knows a few things about the quarterback position. Kevin O’Connell was a quarterback himself, so maybe Cousins will be able to turn it around. He is not a bad quarterback to be honest, he can easily lead them to the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
The Vikings have weapons, they are very good, they need to step up on defense. The offense was not the problem. This does make me wonder if the Vikings will be in the market for a quarterback soon.
