Former Houston safety Earl Foster shot and killed in Texas

Earl Foster, a safety who played four seasons for UH, was pronounced dead at the scene at a gas station in the 8000 block of the East Freeway, after getting shot on Tuesday Night.
A female companion was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The double shooting was reported about 9:30 p.m. Police said the victims appeared to have been shot elsewhere, but were able to stop at the gas station to ask for help.
Foster was a safety and played in 49 games for the Cougars from 2012-15. He was a member of the 2015 conference championship team.
