Dolphins are hosting longsnapper Rex Sunahara

REX SUNAHARA
Dolphins are hosting former West Virginia longnapper Rex Sunahara for a visit. The Dolphins currently do not have a long snapper on their active roster. Their draft pick longsnapper is on the COVID-19 reserve list.

We are learning that the Miami Dolphins are hosting former West Virginia longsnapper Rex Sunahara for a visit. He will undergo a COVID-19 test and if he passes that and a physical he could be added to the roster.

Remember the Dolphins drafted Blake Ferguson the former LSU longsnapper, but he was recently put on the COVID-19 reserve list. The Dolphins do not have any other longsnappers on their current roster.

This is good news for Rex. Rex was a beast at West Virginia. He is a 6060, 242 pound long snapper who played some for Rhode Island. He was a participant in the 2020 Hula Bowl as well as the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Sunahara was a semifinalist for the 2019 Patrick Mannelly Award which is given to the nation’s top long snapper.
