Dylan Bazzell and Drew Fehr were two multi-sport athletes from Prairie Central High School died this week in a ski-related accident in Colorado on spring break, according to a letter from the district’s superintendent.

Superintendent Paula Crane released this statement and confirmed the death of the two star athletes.

“This loss will affect everyone in our family and in our communities,” Crane said in the letter. “Students may have a difficult time dealing with the loss, and we encourage you to talk with your child.”

Fehr was an All-State football player for the Hawks, and helped lead the school to a Conference Championship.

Bazzell was an All-Star basketball player who led his team to a 31-3 record and ranked first in the State of Illinois.

Both players were multi-sports athletes in basketball, football and track.

Please keep the family and friends in your prayers during this tough time.
