What is your name?

Alec May

What is your Height/Weight

6’4″ 250

What is your position?

DE/OLB

Where do you play college football?

Georgetown University

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

I was mostly recruited by Ivy League schools and then Georgetown.

How did you choose your school?

Georgetown presented the best combination of academics, athletics, and opportunities for me. I also liked the coaches and felt that it would be a good fit.

Where are you from?

Wrentham, Massachusetts

Who is your role model, and why?

My grandpa. He was hardworking, genuine, and could always make you laugh. I grew up watching football with him, and he is the reason football is such a big part of my life.

Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?

Not with me personally, but they have been to games and spoken with my coaches. They said that they like my ability to pass rush off the edge.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, baseball

Did you play any other positions in football?

Tight end

At your position, what separates you from others?

My motor. A lot of the plays I make come off of second or third efforts and from me out-hustling my opponents. Most defensive ends rotate throughout the game to stay fresh, but I worked hard to get in good shape and played every snap this year besides four.

alec mayWhen you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for tendencies in the offense and the guys I will be going against that may tip off what play is coming so that I can jump it. I also look at how offensive linemen set up and kick in order to know which pass rush moves will work best against them.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Cole Toner, Harvard’s Offensive Tackle

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Connor Barwin. He is a great pass rusher and has a relentless motor. He makes plays hustling and chasing ball carriers down from behind.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Not really, I like to get my mind off of the game for a few minutes and just talk to my dad.

What is your biggest strength?

Pass rushing

What is your biggest weakness?

Size

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I have proven that I’m a relentless worker, and if you give me a shot I will make it tough to get rid of me.

Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?

Jevon Kearse, Philadelphia Eagles

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Jesus, Genghis Kahn, Leonardo da Vinci
