Talk about your experience as a student. What is your major/minor? Did you participate in any other activities or campus organizations other than football?
Overall, I have had a solid experience as a student here at Campbell. It has truly been a place to call home. I’ve met a lot of people and learned a lot of things in my time here. In my undergrad I majored in health and physical education and I am currently pursuing my Masters of Education with a focus in Exercise Science. I participated in a campus organization called Ransom which is a student led ministry group. I also am very involved in the community volunteering at schools, food drives, etc.

What do you think your teammates would say is your best quality?
My ability to overcome adverse situations and be able to think clearly while inside them.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?
I see myself as a leader of my football team, I feel I have earned the respect and trust of my teammates. I do my best to show guys the way whether it be on the field or off. That could be academics, lifestyle, nutrition, recovery, etc. As far as position goes, I would say I am a true interior offensive lineman. I can play either guard spot as well as center. My critical thinking skills help me break down fronts, second and third level Id’s, as well as study blitz keys based on the team.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
Aubrey Miller Jr

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Tyler McLellan. He has a relentless effort to try and be excellent in everything he does.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.
Going through a serious Injury. It was truly the first time that everything got questioned. I had become so obsessed with football that when I got hurt and no longer had football, I felt like I lost everything. That is when I truly found God and started to appreciate the small victories in life.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?
I would play baseball. It was the only other sport that I played growing up that truly challenged me to become great. I love football for what it has taught me and I feel baseball would have been the second-best thing for me.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?
What would you say is your biggest achievement so far? I would say I am most proud of being considered a captain of my football team. It is not easy to be respected by a room of 120 men.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career.
My most memorable play was my third play ever. I endured injuries early in my college career so it took me some time to see the field. My first game was against Georgia Southern, and the third play was the first time I truly felt in game contact and it sprung a run that could’ve been a TFL into a decent gain.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?
I don’t really have any favorite athletes. Some players I study a lot and feel like I model my game after are Shaq Mason and Laken Tomlinson.

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?
My favorite music artist right now is Caleb Gordon. He Is a Christian rapper that speaks a lot of truth in his songs. What gets me pumped before a game is just the environment of my team, preparing for a game with my boys.

What is your favorite comfort food?
My comfort food would be homemade chili or baked spaghetti. Nothing better than those too.

Do you have a favorite movie, TV show or actor?
My favorite movie is “Remember the Titans”. It embodies a lot of things I do which are faith, racial equality, and of course football.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies? Any secret talents?
In my free time I like to fish, hike, and explore new places. I like to collect trading cards. It’s something I have done since I was a kid.

Why do you play football? Who or what motivates you the most?
I play football because I love the game, and not just game day I love everything leading up to Week 1. I love that you can always be challenged and can find room to grow. I love chasing the intricacies of what it takes to become a great player and a great team. My motivation comes from God. I’m living the best life I can for Him and using my talents to be a vessel for the Most High.
