Player Summary:

Fifth-year senior. Spent a year at Air Force Prep out of high school before enrolling at Georgia Southern. Third year starter for Georgia Southern. Poor height and weight for the position. Stout, compact frame. Solid speed. Adds value in special teams as a punt and/or kick returner. Production in games against Big 10 and Big 12 opponents indicate ability to play well against stronger competition. Plays bigger than size would indicate. Frequently asked to block on the outside and holds up surprisingly well despite small stature. Strikes well with his hands, stays engaged on his block, and moves feet well with defenders to avoid holding calls. Has good contact balance and frame allows him to break arm tackles. Has versatility to be used in multiple ways in offense, lining up outside, inside, and in the backfield. Possesses good leaping ability to extend catch radius. Is able to extend and make catches outside his frame. Has the ability to go down and get low throws. Has shown good concentration and strong hands to come up with contested catches. Good footwork at the top of breaking routes for sharp cuts to create separation. Primarily asked to run vertical routes, but does possess a full route tree. Small stature limits versatility at the next level. Will likely be seen as strictly a slot receiver. Older age further hurts pro potential. Limited scoring production. Does not possess extra gear to be able to run away from defenders in the open field. Does not consistently create separation in stem. Offense frequently uses stacks and motion to manufacture separation. Is not particularly agile in the open field; does not make defenders miss consistently. Somewhat stiff hips limits ability to adjust to balls thrown behind him. Has not shown ability to make difficult catches along the sideline. While he does possess a full route tree, he’s not a particularly accomplished route runner and could use development, particularly in releases at LOS.

Scheme Fit:

Slot receiver in a vertical passing attack

Power Statement:

Small slot receiver who plays above listed height/weight and can add value in special teams and as a gadget player
