Who is the best football player in NFL history to go undrafted? | My Top 10 list

I love the NFL, and I love the underdog. I was sitting here and wanted to come up with a list of 10 players I think changed the NFL and were undrafted prospects.

I know there are many undrafted NFL players who have defied the odds and achieved great success in their careers, but I wanted to list my top 10 list.

Here are some of the best undrafted NFL players of all time:

  1. Warren Moon (QB) – Moon went undrafted in the NFL but had a Hall of Fame career as a quarterback, achieving success both in the NFL and the CFL.
  2. Kurt Warner (QB) – Warner famously went from stocking shelves in a grocery store to becoming a Super Bowl-winning quarterback and two-time NFL MVP.
  3. John Randle (DT) – Randle was a dominant defensive tackle who earned multiple Pro Bowl selections and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
  4. Tony Romo (QB) – Romo went from undrafted rookie to the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, where he had a successful career and became a well-known broadcaster after retiring.
  5. Wes Welker (WR) – Undrafted out of college, Welker became one of the best slot receivers in NFL history and earned numerous Pro Bowl selections.
  6. Jason Peters (OT) – Peters started his career as an undrafted tight end and went on to become one of the most dominant offensive tackles of his era, earning multiple Pro Bowl nods.
  7. Antonio Gates (TE) – Gates played college basketball but signed with the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent and had a remarkable career as one of the best tight ends in NFL history.
  8. Arian Foster (RB) – Foster went undrafted out of college but became a star running back for the Houston Texans, leading the league in rushing at one point in his career.
  9. London Fletcher (LB) – Fletcher was an undrafted linebacker who went on to have an exceptional career, recording over 2,000 tackles during his time in the NFL.
  10. Priest Holmes (RB) – Holmes went undrafted out of college but had a highly productive career as a running back for the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

These players are a testament to the fact that talent and determination can lead to success in the NFL, regardless of where a player was drafted or if they went undrafted altogether. Their achievements have left a lasting impact on the league and serve as inspiration to aspiring players.

Tons of players in the NFL today are making an impact as undrafted free agents, but the players above changed the game!
