Giants legendary pass rusher Lawrence Taylor pleads not guilty for failing to register as a sex offender

Many are unaware of the news that Hall of Fame pass rusher Lawrence Taylor is a registered sex offender, but it is true. The legendary pass rusher, was accused of having sex with a female back in 2011, that claimed to be 19 years old, to find out she was only 16.
The 63-year-old sack master plead not guilty to charges in Florida for failure to register as a sex offender. The pass rusher lived in a hotel for six months in the state without reportedly letting authorities know his address.
His attorney however, claims he put an address he believed was correct, but it wasn’t. Taylor has been living out of a hotel because of marital problems he has been having according to his attorney. The hotel is just 50 yards away from his home, according to his attorney.
“He took their instruction and still believed that his address was the home that he lived in for years, and he was still living in the pool house from time to time. So, he mixed his time there. So, did he violate the law? I don’t think so.”
Taylor won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants, but has had some struggles in the past. He failed multiple drug tests in his career, and was arrested on drug charges several times. Add in his DUI arrest in 2016, and Taylor has faced trouble with his addictions.
I hope he can get his situation corrected, he was one of the best pass rushers ever.
