What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Football was always something that came naturally to me. From a young age I enjoyed watching every weekend to try and be like the guys I watched on tv. I wanted to be the hero those guys were for me at that age.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I want to build a name that is known and respected in the league. I want to be remembered for the things I do on and off the field.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Troy Polamalu, obviously he was a beast on the field but he carried himself differently. He was such a high spirited person and I feel like he has some knowledge or life lessons that could be useful.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My favorite moments would have to be practice with my teammates. I made a lot of life long connections playing football and being able to go to work with some of my closest people is a different feeling. Now being here in this process with some of those guys is a blessing.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother, she was a single parent of 3 children and still always found a way for ends to meet. She taught me that hard work and consistency will take you places that talent could never. Regardless of what she was going through she always put us kids first. Most selfless person I’ve ever met.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

Being a nickel I always enjoyed playing our cover 3 schemes. It allowed me to play an underneath zone and I was able to read and react to plays easier. Some plays even allowed me to roll to the middle post which is basically like playing center field in baseball. Don’t let anything over your head.

What should we know about Camron Harrell the person?

You’ll get the same version of me everyday. I work hard to stay disciplined with the little things in life. I’m always looking to improve as a person and as a player. Always looking for new ways to connect, learn, and grow.

What stands out about your film the most?

Definitely my speed on kick returns would be the first thing to stand out. Then would be my physicality on the perimeter and in the box for my size.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

First thing is staying close to God. His promises make any circumstance worth baring. But also reminding myself that there’s a reason for everything and there’s a new lesson to learn from every situation.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A natural leader. Someone who does whatever it takes to win. I try to always push myself to get better as well as the other people around me. Someone that adds value to the team in all aspects.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The competition level of the game is unmatched. It takes a level certain level of skill, technique, and mindset to be great at a game like this. And the connections you make during the journey is always a blessing in itself.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

There’s tons of underrated players I’ve played with over the years. The most underrated would have to be Malik Shorts. He has a natural feel for where the football is gonna be. Multiple interceptions, 90+ tackles every season as a weak safety. That’s insane to me.
