Tim Tebow would be my franchise QB says aspiring NFL GM
I applaud Nick Adams who is spearheading the trending story on Twitter that Tim Tebow has been blackballed by the NFL.
As a former NFL scout who has worked with the men who have run three of the teams Tebow has played on since Denver, I will go on record saying I believe it is true.
I have worked directly for Mike Tannenbaum (Jets GM when Tebow was traded from Denver to New York) and been on staff with Bill Belichick and Trent Baalke.
I am so tired of hearing,” Tebow can’t play.” As someone who looked Bill Belichick in the eyes and convinced him to hire me – – as someone who was hired by Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells – – as someone who is friends with one of Tebow’s personal QB coaches, Marc Trestman – – and as someone who interned with Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, I say Tebow can play.
Tebow is a natural-born winner who has had success every time he has been given a chance at QB in the NFL. Tebow took over a 1-4 situation and led Denver to an 8-8 season and made it to the playoffs. In the playoffs, Tebow beat the Pittsburgh Steelers and the grandfather of NFL defenses, Dick LeBeau.
He can’t play?
Tim Tebow is not a tight end, and that was awful what Jacksonville did to him this year. They brought him at a position he had never played before and let him go without ever giving him much of a chance in a game situation?
However, why should we be surprised? New England and Philadelphia also cut him after he did good things in the preseason on both of those teams.
Never in my 40 years of watching the NFL, have I ever seen a young playoff-winning QB treated the way the league has treated Tim Tebow – – and I know why.
It is because of the anointing God has on his life. I told a reporter for the USA Today, “Tim Tebow’s got the greatest anointing on his life since King David.”
I wrote an article in 2014 and I spelled it out why this was happening to Tebow – – because Tebow scared the hell out of the NFL. Everybody knew what he was going to do and nobody could stop him.
I urged Trestman to sign him with the Bears in 2013. I proposed a system called the “Two-Headed Monster,” which featured Tebow and QB Jay Cutler in the game at the same time and Illustrated all the match-up issues that would create for opposing defenses.
In 2017, I had a dream one night that I was the GM of the Cleveland Browns. I woke up and the Holy Spirit said, “Write a card to the owner of the Cleveland Browns and tell him if given the opportunity, you can put together a Hall of Fame staff within three weeks.” I followed that prompting and two weeks later, Mr. Haslam personally responded asking me for my ideas. That turned into a 166-page GM proposal, which included making Tebow my franchise starting QB and assistant GM.
In 2019, I interviewed with now-former Washington Redskins Team President Bruce Allen for an hour and a half. The team flew me out east from Arizona after Allen had called me and said he had read my book, Whatever it Takes. Allen said he wanted to hear my thoughts on “what the team should do.”
In that one-on-one meeting when Allen me for my ideas, I swung for the fences for Tebow. I said Washington should bring him in as a “Relief QB,” an innovative concept similar to the relief pitcher position in baseball. The idea came to me to sub in Tebow when games seemed out of reach because he had always been clutch in pressure situations.

To the people who say Tebow is too old or he has been out of it too many years – – that is pure conjecture. QB Rich Gannon was 37 when Trestman coached him to be the NFL MVP with the Raiders. Plus, Tebow has been keeping himself in professional sports shape playing baseball with the New York Mets organization. Tebow is 34. In 2021, five QB’s were 37 or older in the NFL playoffs.
It is “Tebow Time” in the National Football League. If given the opportunity, I will personally see to it. If not, I will continue to do everything in my power to help put him under center again for the Glory of God.
