Southeastern Louisiana adds tight end Nolan Givan which adds depth to the Lions

Nolan Givan is a big pass catcher who was formerly with the SDSU Aztecs and the Ball State Cardinals. He will join SE Louisiana and could be a bright spot. Justin Kelm (@JustinAaronUH91 breaks down the newest addition.

Nolan Givan is a name you should know. Before he came to Hammond, Givan was a member of the Ball State Cardinals and San Diego State Aztecs. While with the Cardinals from 2017-2019, Givan caught 51 passes for 352 yards and 6 touchdowns. While with the Aztecs in 2020, he was more of a blocker in their scheme. Givan transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University Lions to finish out his collegiate career. The Lions are members of the Southland Conference. 

Givan has been a key member of the Lions offense all season. Before their playoff game, Givan was named to the All Southland Conference first team. Givan and the Lions defeated the Florida A&M University Rattlers 38 to 14 this past Saturday. Givan as always was a key member of the Lions high powered offense. He had 6 receptions for  74 yards and 1 touchdown. 

Givan and the Lions head to James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA this upcoming Saturday. The Lions battle the Dukes at 1 pm CTand the game can be seen on ESPN+.
