Player Summary:
White boasts a thin, lanky figure that will allow him to fill out his ideal frame. He stations at the left corner but has touched the slot and will occasionally roll to safety. He is a versatile player who can play tight or off-coverage competently. In pressman, his smooth hips and light feet turn and cut with the receivers to combat shorter routes and can switch to a solid recovery burst if the route breaks deep, staying with the receiver and competing with the ball in the air. In off-coverage, he depends on a solid plant step and instincts to break to the receiver. He is known to place well-timed hits to break up the ball, and shows great awareness of his area, successfully juggling two receivers. He is a confident corner, unafraid to leave his back to the ball and challenge the catch reading the receiver’s reactions. Against blockers, he uses sufficient UOH and contact balance to fight around a block and can tackle in a crowd, mostly bringing down receivers and tight ends in the open field while limiting yards after contact with his solid form. When in coverage, he is very hands-on, and plays to the edge of the rules, using his hands to re-route and squeeze receivers, refusing to allow receivers a clear route path.
He does have a weakness of functional strength that hampers his ability to fight around the blocks of receivers and allows them to drive him back. He’s also an overly aggressive corner who will bite on shorter routes and risk his deeper responsibilities. He has been rarely exposed to jump ball situations. While he is confident, he is too dependent on his ability to play back to the ball, which is a disadvantage against larger receivers and tight ends.

Power Statement:
White is an intelligent, competitive, and consistent player, using well-timed hits to jar the ball loose, possessing good instincts of what the receiver wants to do, and has the ball skills to defend passes or seize the ball from the air. He will provide defensive rotation in his rookie stint.
