Draft Diamonds Free Agent Interview: Nahshon Hester, Linebacker

Hello, I am @jrberendzen on Twitter and this is one of my free agent interviews where I ask very deserving free agents questions about the players themselves and about what a team would get in these players. All of these players should get picked up by NFL and CFL teams and get a shot at being a career football player. 1.What have been your favorite moments throughout your football career?

My first college game at Point, I had a record day 9 tackles, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble. Also, my senior year in high school being selected for the Senior bowl that was a great experience.  Now playing semi-pro I’m blessed with the development I have gain IQ wise while in college.

2.If you were an animal which animal would you be and why?

A Lion most definitely, because of they’re strength and confidence.

3.What is your mindset when you are on the football field?

Tunnel vision and lead . Focusing on key opponents, watching the QB pre snap, everything studied in film I must bring it to the field as the MLB I must lead and put my defense in the right position to make plays.

4.What do you do for fun?

Hang with my two sons and my fiancé . An I like to write do a lil spoken word.

5.If you were on an island and could only have three things which three things would you have?

My kids , fiancé , and a football .

6.What do you hope to accomplish if you get into the NFL?

I want to accomplish a pathway for other athletes who have diabetes or any other chronic disease, show them anything is possible . I also would be among the best LBs in my class .

7.If your life was a TV show what would you call it and why?

The Trenches ,I have had a lot of obstacles in life , to where most of the times throughout life I feel like I’m stuck in the trenches fighting for everything.

8.What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Originally my parents said that’s the ball I picked up as a toddler but as I got older and went to games I just always imagined myself on that stage playing making plays.

9. If you could live anywhere in the world where and why?

Texas , because I was born there but never experienced the state.

10.What would a team get in a player like you?

Commitment, leadership , loyalty, hunger.

11.If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Ray Lewis, he’s a role model on and off the field.

12.What is your nickname or if you don’t have a nickname what would you make up as your nickname?

Growing up I was called man-man
