As an athlete, what is your motivation?
My motivation is my family and my fiancé. They inspire me and push me to be the best I can be. Also, they support me and have my back. Good game or bad game I have them to rely on and celebrate with or pick me up when I am down.
What defines success for you?
Success to me is defined as winning. Yeah you can have a good game as an individual but lose as a team and to me that is not successful. Winning is the most successful thing you can accomplish.
What would your teammates say about the type of teammate you are?
To me, I think my teammates would define me as hardworking and determined. As well as I got their back because I support all my teammates and will be there for them no matter what.
What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break?
Some personal rules I have are basically just not to yell at teammates or coaches when on the field. But if I see something I’ll help try to maybe critique it but that is basically my only personal rule is to keep calm on the field.
Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?
The toughest player I have played against is probably a few guys from Mount Union when we scrimmaged them at the beginning of the year. I don’t really know names but they have a lot of fast and big guys.
Who is the best player in the NFL?
Well of all time I would have to go with Barry Sanders. But right now I’ll have to go with Aaron Rodgers.
What is your team of choice on Madden, why?
Carolina Panthers because of Christian McCaffrey. He’s a great player on the game and in real life.
Failure is inevitable in life. How do you handle situations that don’t go in your favor?
I have failed a lot in my life and failure is hard to overcome but you can’t succeed if you dwell on your failure. But I use it as motivation and that’s how I seem to handle it. I use it to fuel me and give me an extra edge.
Is there a current/former NFL player that you model your game after?
I like to model my game after Christian McCaffrey because of how good he is and how versatile of a player he is. He can rush the ball great and also he’s a great receiving back. His lateral movement is also incredible and is unmatched so I try to model my game after him because he has great qualities which makes him a great player.
Knowing what you do now, what would you go back and tell yourself as a High-School Freshman?
If I could tell my high school freshman self something it would be to focus more on yourself and not outside distractions that took me away from my original self for the first couple of years of high school.
What is your go-to restaurant near campus?
Shorty’s Hot Dogs. Only in Washington so it’s just a hometown place with great food.
If your life was a book, what would its title be?
“Overlooked.”
What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?
If I had to pick a song it would be Truth Hurts by Lizzo. My fiancé kind of got me hooked on it when she listens to it. Artist, I am not really sure. I listen to basically the same 3 or 4 artists.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or deceased, who would it be and why?
I have a few people, living would be Tim Tebow. I admired him growing up and he was a great role model for me and helped shape me into who I am today. Deceased would be my Meemaw, Grandmother, and my Pappy, Grandfather. I would want to have dinner with my Meemaw because she was my biggest supporter when it comes to football and just my life. She was the best. And my Pappy because he passed away when I was young and I just want to have a conversation with him about my life now and get his input.
Forty-years from now, what do you want to be remembered for?
I want to be remembered as a great man, husband, and father when that time comes for those things. It would be great to be remembered as a great player at W&J but that is the last thing I would want to be remembered as because those only 3 are more important to me.

I give 100% every day and I prove my skills on the field every Saturday.
