Former Oregon Duck arrested in Florida for holding Ex-GF hostage at gunpoint

A former wide receiver of the Oregon Ducks football team is facing numerous charges after he reportedly attacked his ex-girlfriend in her Cape Coral, Florida home.
Tyrece Gaines (32), is charged with Domestic Violence, Domestic Violence Battery by Strangulation, Violation of Domestic Violence Injunction for being at victims house against court order, Violation of Domestic Violence Injunction for possession a firearm, Possession Of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and False Imprisonment, according to Fox 4.
The young female’s neighbor called police reporting that the former Duck Gaines, was in the victim’s home and that she had sent a text saying she was injured and Gaines was armed.
Officers arrived deep, in armored vehicles and surrounded the house until the victim came out. Gaines would eventually come out of the house as well.
The victim told officers that Gaines had thrown her inside the home and told her “I am going to kill you.” He then took her to the bedroom, where she says Gaines began choking her and slamming her into the floor.
Investigators found a loaded pistol and rounds in Gaines bag.
Gaines was dismissed from the Ducks team in 2010 for failing to meet academic standards.
