Dream Bowl and Draft Diamonds: Week 3 Studs and Standouts

Austin Simmons of South Dakota had a huge week and caught the eye of the Dream Bowl scouts in week 3

The Dream Bowl is an amazing All-Star Game we teamed up with at Draft Diamonds for the 2019 season and we are looking for small school players who stood out in week 3 and caught the eyes of our scouts.  These players are from the NAIA, D2, D3 and the FCS, but all have been shining this year.  We wanted to focus on several players who have really been doing well and give them a little recognition and to let them know we are paying attention.

Louis Quinones, RB, Valley City State (NAIA) – If you do not know about this kid you better start paying attention. Quinones has blown up this year and the senior in three games has 592 yards, is averaging 9.3 yards per carry and has five touchdowns.  The Colorado Springs native recently sat down with us at Draft Diamonds and you can read his interview on our site by clicking on his name above!

Connor Kaegi, QB, Ottawa University (NAIA) – The gunslinger from the NAIA is blowing up right now. The basketball standout and 6070 quarterback threw for 432 yards in his first game of the year and averaged 465 yards his first game.  He is one of my favorite NAIA players because he has a strong arm and looks the part. He too recently sat down with NFL Draft Diamond owner Damond Talbot, his link in above.

Stanley Jackson Jr., WR, Tiffin University (D2) – In two games this year Stanley Jackson the senior standout at Tiffin has 304 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.  He is currently averaging 152 yards receiving a game and looked great hauling in 14 receptions.  Jackson is a 6030 wide out and weights 210 pounds.  He has been dominate and looks like an NFL wide out.

Jared Vincent, K, Pittsburg State (D2) – Yes I picked a kicker, he has been money all year. Vincent is currently 7 for 7 on the year, and that is impressive. The Claremore, Oklahoma native has played all four years and is an All-MIAA kicker.  He has been a monster for the Gorillas, and he has impressed me!

Jack Foley, DE/LB, St. Thomas (MN) (D3) – Ok this is a great story. Foley was the starting full back for Saint Thomas last year and in his first game to defense he had three quarterback sacks. The 6000 pass rusher with long blonde hair was a monster on defense. I was impressed, he is going to be a good pass rusher in D3 football his senior year.

Justin Hill, WR, Mount Union (D3) – Mount Union went off week 1 and blew out Rose Hulman 66-13.  Justin Hill had four receiving touchdowns and 148 yards.  I just got this film and had to add him to this list. Hill is impressive and looks like and NFL player.  This kid has talent.

Austin Simmons, QB, South Dakota – Yes, I had to add him to this list because he was a machine last week.  Simmons threw for over 500 yards and also had a 74 percent completion percentage on 65 passing plays.  His team still fell short, but he was definitely a player that caught the eye of our scouts.  Keep it up Austin!

Andre Walker, DL, Houston Baptist – I had to put a player from Houston Baptist and I did not feel it would be right if I did not recognize the senior pass rusher Andre Walker who is currently leading the FCS in sacks.  He dominated again and now has 7.5 sacks on the season. There were several of plays he could have had and been over 10 sacks already.  This kid has a knack for getting to the QB, and I love his play, great work Dre!
