Lions Raiola promised a donation to Wisconsin’s band, but they’re still waiting

raiolaLast year, Detroit Lions offensive lineman Dominic Raiola went on a verbal tirade on Sunday with obscene and homophobic comments directed at members of the University of Wisconsin Badger Band during a game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The incident happened during warmups. He issued an apology and said he would give the school’s band a large donation. Well that still has not happened according to Channel3000.com.

A band director who expects so much from his members doesn’t expect to get a dime promised in an NFL player’s apology.

It has been more than a year since Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola was caught mouthing off to University of Wisconsin band members. As part of an apology he claimed he made a significant contribution to the band.

The band’s director said they haven’t seen a cent.

This is not a good look for the Lions.  They might want to make Raiola pay that donation ASAP, because it makes them look really bad.
