You have to love the timing. The Dallas Police Department released their incident report regarding the January arrest of Stetson Bennett the UGA National Championship winning Quarterback.

Bennett led the Bulldogs to not one but two NCAA Championships, but on January 29th, he was arrested for public intoxication.

According to the reports, Bennett was walking around a gated area downtown in the Arts section of town, when police arrived. According to the report, the officers announced themselves multiple times as Dallas police and called for Bennett to come from behind the wall with his hands visible. He complied and was placed in handcuffs due to Bennett attempting to hide from the officers.

Bennett even attempted to hide behind a brick wall to avoid police, according to reports.

The report said Bennett was walking further back in the gated area to hide behind a brick wall by a random (apartment) in attempt to possibly avoid (the arresting officers) detection,

The crazy thing is Bennett turned down an opportunity to play in the Reese’s Senior Bowl to train for the Combine which is happening this week. Bennett is in Indianapolis to meet with NFL teams, and the Dallas PD made sure the NFL had something to talk about by releasing their report.

This will be something they ask him for sure!
