Nick La Sane.

RB.

Montana St. University.

Where are you from? 

Allen TX.

Who is your role model, and why? 

My Dad because he embodies what it means to be an honest hardworking man that does whatever it takes to ensure his families well-being.

Who was your favorite teacher?

Jill Davis of Montana St.

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

Yes, growing up I played baseball, ran track and wrestled.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Former Grambling St./Montana St. DE Robert Wilcox. We were rivals in High school and I had the pleasure of playing alongside him for 3 years.

Who is the most underrated player on your team?

Bryce Alley. Definitely one of the most technical/sound CB’s I’ve seen.

What is the one song that would fire you up before the biggest game of your life? 

The Fire by The ROOTs  because it speaks to my love and passion for the game.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? Growing up my NFL comparison was Arian Foster, but I think my play mirrors that of my cousin Larry Johnson because of our versatile ability to run both powerful and elusive.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?  Tearing my ACL my senior year of High school in the midst of recruiting has to be one of the biggest obstacles I’ve faced. The hardest part of my recovery was the mental aspect but through hours of physical therapy, resiliency, trust in God, and the strong support of my family, friends, teammates and coaches, I came back a stronger and more complete player then I was before the injury.

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

Pedialyte and meditation.

What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?

The most memorable play of my collegiate career has to be my 71 yard TD against UM to help secure the win on our home field for the first time in 5 years.

What is the coolest thing you ever did off the field for someone else?

Going to various elementary schools to read and spend time with kids. A lot of kids look up to football players given the status we hold in society and I think its cool that i’m able to utilize my status and role in the sport on the field to both impact and shape the lives of our youth off the field.

Who was your favorite NFL team growing up? 

The New York Giants.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Lawrence Taylor, Vince Lombardi, Herschel Walker.
