A Friendly Reminder for Dolphins Fans

Tua Tagovailoa fantasy duds
Dolphins were able to get very close to the playoffs in Tua’s first year. Many Dolphins fans must be upset but they are close!.

The purpose of today’s discussion is the once-revered rookie Tua Tagovailoa. So I am frankly amazed and disappointed at fans who are talking about rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa so negatively. Basically what you fans have decided is that because Tua has had bad games as a rookie he is incapable of bouncing back in his second year, which I refuse to believe is true for any player, especially a rookie.

First of all, Tua Tagovailoa was not even that bad. The fact that people were still talking about Sam Darnold as a franchise quarterback, even in his third year of play. And this is when Darnold has had much worse games than Tua has ever played.

Not only was Tua not even that bad in 2020, he was playing with a very limited group of receivers. Mike Gesicki, DeVante Parker, and Preston Williams are an OK group, but there are a great many teams that have more talent to utilize. In addition, Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson opted out before 2020 due to COVID, which really hurt the Dolphins.

So in short there is no reason to panic or draft another quarterback, the chances are high that Tua will be just fine and probably an above average quarterback when all’s said and done. There is a reason we were so high on Tua coming out of college. The last thing Dolphins fans should want is to see Tua succeed in some other city.
