If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 would be up there?

Compassionate, humble, patience, loyal, and honest.

What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

It’s always been a dream of mines, growing up, I played many sports and even in college I was a 2 sport athlete, football just always seemed right to me, it felt natural to me, it made it better because my older brothers and cousins played football as well so I knew then that football was the sport for me.

What is your favorite route and why?

My favorite route would have to be a fade ball, I say that because it’s competition, 1 on 1, best man gets the ball or makes the play, I love it.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Favorite moment would have to say my senior night, last game of high school, I had my best game ever.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Any player would say Jarvis Landry, I really mold my game after him, his mindset and just the way he plays the game of football, I would want to just pick his brain honestly.

What sets you apart from other wide receivers?

I think the thing that’s sets me apart would be my hands and my blocking, I feel that I have great hands and I take pride in blocking, both things are very important especially at the next level.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

I feel like the keys to success on the field is, staying in your playbook, watching film and out working everyone else, if you have that just alone, you’ll be good.

What should we know about Darrin Gentry the person?

I would say, I stay to myself most of the time, once you get to know me, I’m a goofy and fun person, if we are locked in then I have your back forever no matter what. I’m a loyal person and will do whatever it takes to get where I need to get.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I handle challenges both in life and in football the same, I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. If I have confidence that I can do something then I will get it done no matter what, that’s pretty much the only answer, confidence.

What would a team get in a player like you?

Honestly, they’ll get a hard worker, willing to do whatever I need to do to help the team, you’re getting a player who can play outside and inside, they’ll get a guy who can play special teams and if I need to play defense I can do that too.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

I would say, I’m the type to go make plays and hype guys up that way, that’s how I bring the energy on the field, I never have been real vocal as far as that.

If you could win 1 NFL player award which one and why?

I would say the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, at the end of day I want to be a great person on and off the field. I want to be someone that is remembered as a standup guy on and off the field and someone that the next generation can look up to.
