What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Coming from a football household knowing my dad was an All American and played football at the professional level I knew instantly that I wanted to do the same thing.

What type of energy do you bring onto the football field?

Up until the first whistle I’m laid back and calm just thinking about all that I want to accomplish and my job description for the game but after the first kickoff I bring an intense and relentless mindset to the game no matter the circumstance.

What sets you apart from other linebackers?

My work ethic the amount of work I put into the game not just physically but mentally and my knowledge of the game I’m able to dissect plays sometimes before they happen and I’m able to trigger to them.

If there was a billboard with 5 of your traits on it which 5 traits would be up there?

Heart, leadership, confidence, passion and love.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

The moments with teammates that you can’t get back things that happens on bus rides and hotel away trips in hotels that I’ll remember for all my life I enjoyed how a sport brought me brothers from all different walks of life.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

It would be a hard decision between Michael Vick and Ronnie Lott growing up Michael vick was the best player in the world to me and I admired everything he could do on the field I say Ronnie Lott also because of how driven he was to win every rep and impose his will onto his opponents it would honestly give me so much insight on not just football but life.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I like to think of all possible outcomes and choose the best one and go with it I never second guess my decision I either love it or learn from it.

What should we know about Ricky Chatman Jr the person?

I’m the ultimate competitor on the field and the ultimate teammate off of it I love the game and plan on playing it for a long time.

What do you think are the keys to success on the football field?

Focus, studying the opponent, and attention to detail as the level increases everyone is talented it comes down to who is willing to put the time in to minor issues that will end up being successfully in the end.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A playmaker eager to learn more and ready to make an impact.

How are you planning to prepare for the draft?

Currently I am training for my pro day at Michael Johnson Performance.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

My goal is to be an All Pro and one day Walter Payton man of the year award winner.
