NFL DRAFT DIAMONDS

Vikings have a gem in tight end A.C. Leonard

A.C. Leonard the former Florida Gators tight end, is a very solid playmaker and the Vikings were able to snag him up without using a draft pick. Leonard is a Florda native that had to finish his college career at Tennessee State Univerity after being dismissed for an arrest.

Leonard had an very solid season at Tennessee State before leaving prematurely to enter the NFL Draft. A.C. felt it was the right time, when I asked him if he was sure about leaving.

Leonard has stupid talents and could be a huge asset to the Vikings. Current players on the roster include Kyle Rudolph, and Rhett Ellison who is more of a blocker that receiver, but is currently ahead of A.C.

Leonard is fighting to earn a roster spot against Chase Ford and Allen Reisner, who he could beat out with a solid pre-season. Leonard is a very good pass catcher with amazing speed. I could see him really having an impact in two tight end sets. If Leonard can have a strong pre-season he could end up being one of the biggest steals in the NFL Draft.
