Three “Legend of Boom” members were awarded with All-Pro honors

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and free safety Earl Thomas have been named by The Associated Press to the All-Pro first team — each for the second year in a row. Strong safety Kam Chancellor was also named to the All-Pro second team. No offensive Seattle players were honored by the AP’s panel of 50 voters.

Sherman finished the 2013 regular season with the most interceptions (eight) in the NFL. With 49 total tackles, 16 passes defended and two fumble recoveries, Sherman is also considered a front-runner for Defensive Player of the Year.

Thomas  added five interceptions and defended eight passes as a starting member of Seattle’s Legion of Boom secondary. Thomas finished the regular season with 100 total tackles and forced three fumbles.

Chancellor earned a place on the AP’s second team for his lights-out play in 2013, including three interceptions, six passes defended and 93 total tackles. He had not been honored by the AP before.
