The Arizona Cardinals lose another defender for the year

Today the Arizona Cardinals took another hit on the defensive side of the ball. Linebacker Alex Okafor, a rookie fourth-round draft pick who was expected to become a starter this week, has instead been lost for the season.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told Alex Marvez and Bill Polian on SiriusXM NFL Radio that Okafor has suffered a torn biceps tendon and will miss the rest of the season.

Okafor was a stand out for the University of Texas before entering the 2013 NFL Draft.  I am a huge fan of Okafor and it really stinks that he will have to sit out this year.  He should come back strong and compete for a starting spot.
