If Terry Pegula wins the Buffalo Bills bid, he will own every professional team in the city

pegulaTerry Pegula’s net worth is 3.3 billion according to Forbes magazine, and that number could change very soon. Pegula sold the Ohio and West Virginia assets of the company to American Energy for $1.75 billion yesterday.

Pegula holds business interests in natural gas development, real estate and professional sports, including full ownership of the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League. He also is trying to win the Buffalo Bills who recently went up for sale after losing their owner Ralph Wilson Jr.  Pegula has some major ties to the area, and is very in love with sports.

The City of Buffalo consists of three professional sports teams. Those teams are the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL, Buffalo Bills of the NFL and Buffalo Bandits a Lacrosse team of the NLL.

If Pegula wins the bid for the Bills he will be the owner of every professional team in the city.  That would be like world domination in the city of Buffalo.  Especially when he is the owner of the Rochester Amerks as well which is the minor league for the Buffalo Sabres.  The only team Pegula is not the owner of is the Buffalo Bisons which is a minor league team for the MLB’s Toronto Blue Jays.

If the Bisons ended up for sale, I could see Pegula trying to land them as well.
