Suh fined 100k for the low hit on Vikings O-Lineman

Well, it could have been worse, but today the NFL sanctioned Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Suh was fined $100,000 for his hit on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan in Sunday’s game, but won’t be suspended, the NFL announced Tuesday.

The league said in a statement that NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks told Suh on Tuesday that he had been fined.

“Suh was penalized for violating Rule 12, Section 2, Article 5 (a) which prohibits blocks below the waist by players of either team after a change of possession,” the league said in its statement.

This is a fair penalty in my opinion, because the league could have sat him out a game.
