Steelers linebacker Larry Foote calls rookie Jarvis Jones “SOFT”

Even though it sounded like Larry Foote was kidding, he did add in the fact that he texted the rookie to throw in another jab to the young backer, who was taken out of Sunday’s preseason game with a chest injury.  Well it seems to be that the rookie had the wind knocked out of him.  Larry Foote made sure he was ok, but before he did that he made sure to get a few jabs in.

“He’s just going to hear from a lot of guys about how soft he is,” inside linebacker Larry Foote said per, who, like many of his teammates didn’t initially think the injury was serious. It kind of scared me when I saw (the news) going across the TV,” Foote added. “But I texted him, and he told me he was fine. I told him they don’t make them how they used to make them.”

This is still all in good fun, but Jarvis Jones will need to get healthy to be that edge presence the Steelers drafted him for.
