Small School running back chooses Packers over three other teams

According to Milwaukee Journal, the Packers signed running back Michael Hill, the young, practice squad prospect Green Bay lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the season.

Hill, who was signed to the Packers’ practice squad Sept. 2, finished the season with the Buccaneers, but after Tampa Bay cleaned house at the end of the season, it let Hill go, allowing him to sign with any team in the NFL. Hill is a small school standout from Missouri Western.

According to his agent, Harold Lewis, four teams were interested in signing him — the Packers, Indianapolis, San Diego and San Francisco — but Hill wanted to come back to the Packers and agreed to terms on a deal Tuesday.
