Seattle Seahawks release veteran cornerback Will Blackmon

Will Blackmon was drafted in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft (115th pick overall) by the Green Bay Packers, and recently spent time on the Seahawks roster.  Well today before roster cuts, the Seahawks who are deep in the secondary released the veteran corner.  Blackmon has had quite the ride in and out the NFL, he played in the Arena Football League after a short stint with the Giants.  That is what ultimately led him to sign with the Seahawks.  Some team that is needy at corner could pick him up soon, (Buffalo) could be an option.

Seahawks announced: Released CB Will Blackmon.

Blackmon took to twitter to thank the 12th man (fans).

Thank you @Seahawks and #12thman for helping me get back on the map. This is an awesome place. And I wish the best for everyone for real.
