Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch wants to help Youth Football in Turkey

lynchAFWB (American Football Without Barriers) Camp is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to develop American football in underprivileged countries around the world. We host yearly camps to support football clubs and leagues in other countries, while encouraging sportsmanship and physical activity.

Founded by Gary Barnidge and Breno Giacomini in 2011, the goal of AFWB Camp is to take professional NFL skills and abilities and bring that to new parts of the world to underprivileged kids, through service and leadership, according to their site.  Well today, Marshawn Lynch also known as Beast Mode, made an appearance in Turkey. He spoke about bringing camps to Turkey to help young under privileged fans get a chance to work with one of the best running backs in the NFL. Lynch was excited to work with the kids in Turkey per this release:

“With the camp, I do this back at home myself, in Oakland, California, and when I got the word they were doing something here, it gave me a chance to spread my wings. I hold a camp at home, like I said, with about 850 kids and it’s been growing. This is an opportunity for me to come out and spread my brand as well. I’m here, like I said, to spread football across the world and at the same time help people in need,” Lynch said.

I guess Lynch is not as bad as people make him out to be after all?
