Seahawks Legion of Boom players are expected to get paid “BIG Time”

Earl Thomas is about to become the NFL’s first $10 million-a-year safety.

Thomas and the Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $40 million, sources confirmed Monday to ESPN. NFL.com reported earlier Monday that Thomas agreed to the extension, which makes him the NFL’s highest-paid safety in terms of average annual salary.

Thomas’ new deal includes $27.75 million in guaranteed money, according to ESPN. Thomas, 24, just completed his fourth season with the Seahawks and was named to the Pro Bowl for the third consecutive season.

Thomas is not the only one that is getting paper. According to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports the Seahawks are “zeroing in” on a contract extension with LCB Richard Sherman that will make him the “highest paid cornerback in the game.”

The Legion of Boom in Seattle seems like it could be around for a few more years.  This is a great defense, I am glad to see the team is working hard to keep them together.
