San Francisco trades former 7th rounder for a draft pick

The 49ers keep stacking up picks. Today the Indianapolis Colts traded a conditional pick to the San Francsico 49ers for former 7th round pick Cam Johnson. Johnson had an amazing preseason.

Johnson, 6-3, 268 pounds, was originally a seventh-round selection (237th overall) for the 49ers and it sounds like they won’t be getting much more for him in return. Last season, he spent the first 14 games of the year on the 49ers practice squad before being elevated to the active roster on December 22. Johnson saw action in the final two regular season games but did not record any statistics.
