The New Orleans Saints always travel to West Virginia to practice in different altitudes but their owner didn’t cope well with the change of scenery.

According to Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Saints owner Tom Benson had to be taken off the field in an ambulance this morning.

Saints V.P of Communications Greg Bensel released a statement saying Benson is OK.

“This morning, Mr. Benson left practice after not feeling well due to symptoms related to the altitude here in West Virginia,” the statement said. “He was transported to a local hospital in Lewisberg, WV and was given a series of tests, of which, doctors did not find any issues or complications. He was treated with oxygen and has been released. He is doing great and was under the care of team physician John Amoss the entire time. Mr. and Mrs. Benson thank all of those that have reached out.”

Benson also was hospitalized for dehydration last Tuesday.
