College of San Mateo/Dakota State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

Coaching at football camps in the summer. 

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Computer Science

Who is your role model, and why? 

Coach Leighton Lang. He always made sure I was on top of my schooling before anything. 

 

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

 

Basketball and Baseball 

 

Did you play any other positions in football?

At your position, what separates you from others? 

 

My speed, vision, patience, and my big play ability.

 

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

 

For DB’s I look for their tackling technique. For Linebackers how consistent they are on their reads to fill the gap and for DL/LB’s I look if they come hard or not for pass protection. 

 

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

 

Michael Clay

 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

 

I would say LeSean McCoy because of the cut ability and hands out of the backfield.

 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

 

The biggest obstacle was dealing with my dad’s death. The way I dealt with it was just playing the game I know he would want love watching me play. Football was my escape. 

 

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

 

Just listen to music while watching highlights and then mentally preparing myself to make plays.  

 

What is your biggest strength? 

 

My explosiveness and the passion I play with. 

 

What is your biggest weakness? 

 

My biggest weakness is my route running. 

 

rbIf I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

 

I would say that I can play some football simple as that. I’ll give you my all every week until there is nothing left. 

 

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

 

Marshawn Lynch because he was a violent runner and Oakland Raiders

 

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

 

My Dad, Jim Brown and Marshawn Lynch

 

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

 

A House for my mom.
