RG3 practices with the first team, Aiming his return for week 1

The biggest news today in Washington D.C., is what happened on the field. Today RG3 moved a step closer toward a Week 1 return when he took full-speed, full-team snaps against the first-string defense for the first time since his knee surgery.

‘My eyes are set on Philly,” he said. – Robert Griffin III

Griffin wants to play in the first game against Philly, but he will first have to be cleared by the legendary physician Dr. James Andrews.

Coach Mike Shanahan said Griffin received work in “a couple of periods” against the starting defense, comparing to how it would have been in organized team activities or mini camp. The Redskins were not in full pads Wednesday, but they did go full speed.

“I’m getting the team reps, and that’s what I wanted, and that’s what the team needed me to be out there doing,” Griffin said. “I feel good. I am confident Coach easing me in has helped, and giving me the extra reps has helped now. – Robert Griffin III

This is huge news for the Redskins fan base.  I was waiting for this moment, while some believe that RG3 will slump in his Sophomore season, I think the opposite.  Griffin could be a huge steal in all fantasy leagues.  Expect a big year from the returning Baylor Bear.
