Rams tried to poach rookie quarterback Ryan Griffin from Saints, but fall short

According to Yahoo Sports Shutdown Corner the Saint Louis Rams who are very needy at quarterback was shutdown when trying to pull a fast one .

New Orleans Saints have signed quarterback Ryan Griffin from the practice squad to the active roster, stepping in front of the St. Louis Rams, who wanted to sign him.

The Rams have a strong need at quarterback with only Kellen Clemens on their roster, following the season-ending knee injury to starter Sam Bradford. They appeared poised to sign Griffin to a contract before the Saints convinced him to stick around.
