Should the Raiders give Derek Carr some first team reps?
Today Raiders head coach Dennis Allen was asked a very tough question. That question was will Derek Carr (who performed extremely well), get some first team reps anytime soon. Allen’s answer was basically “no”.
“It’s not really part of the plan right now,” Allen said of giving Carr a longer look. “We’ll evaluate everything as we move along, but the plan is to work Matt Schaub as the starting quarterback. I think he’s done a good job of doing that.”
While some are not pleased with Matt Schaub’s performance his head coach sticks by his veteran quarterback.
“I was not displeased with Matt Schaub‘s performance,” Allen said. “We obviously need to play better.”
What do you think? Should the Raiders give Carr a few reps with the number 1’s? Who knows he could end up being the savior in Oakland. Look at the Russell Wilson situations……Just Saying…
