NFL Draft

Which players helped themselves at the NFL Combine today?

Several players came into the NFL Scouting Combine today looking to impress, but I don’t think anyone impressed more than Aaron Donald the defensive tackle from Pittsburgh.  At 6’2, 285 pounds Donald tore up the combine today, running an amazing 4.68 forty yard dash.

The 285 pound Award winning defensive tackle did a great job today in everything he performed. He really looked to stand out, and to be honest has the type of athleticism that everyone is raving about in Jadeveon Clowney. His 35 reps of 225 were also very impressive.  His stock flew up the charts today, and I would not be surprised to see him move into the top 15 on some teams draft boards.

Another player that really looked good was Chris Borland the linebacker from Wisconsin.  While he did not tear up the track in his forty, he looked the most fluid of any player out of the linebackers.  Borland has that “it” factor and it shows in his game film.  I would not be surprised to see this kid jump to the second round.

Lastly, I have to give Jadeveon Clowney for running a 4.53 forty, but Telvin Smith ran a faster forty.  Smith stood out for Florida State, and could be asked to move to safety.  Either way expect both of these guys to make an impact in 2014.
