Packers need to consider re-signing Ryan Pickett or Johnny Jolly
The Green Bay Packers traded Jerel Worthy to the New England Patriots the other day for a late round pick. While that is a good deal, the depth for the Packers is weak.
The teams penciled in starters are BJ Raji, Mike Daniels and Datone Jones. The team does have a few rookies to back up these guys but no experienced vets.
Both of the teams defensive tackles last year are still available free agents. Neither Johnny Jolly or Ryan Pickett have been signed. Last year Jolly finished the year with 21 tackles and a sack. Pickett finished with 19 tackles and zero sacks.
While their statistics are not huge, they are very solid in the run game. Either one could fill the void of Jerel Worthy.
