Oakland Raiders sign ex-HBCU standout Greg Jenkins to active roster

The Oakland Raiders have torn up the practice squad contract of ex-HBCU standout, WR Greg Jenkins, and have signed him to a new 2 year contract. He is promoted to the active roster and will be available to play tomorrow vs. the Tennessee Titans. Jenkins was a QB at Alabama State, throwing for over 1,600 yards and 9 touchdowns as a senior in 2012. His play led to an invite to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in January, where he played some WR and caught the attention of NFL scouts as a QB-to-WR convert. Jenkins will also see time on special teams for Oakland.
