Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

The coolest “giving back” moment was going to Camp Concordia and helping keep the hopes alive of a Christian Summer Camp by providing free labor for numerous jobs.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

The hardest college class by far was 2D Art; my artistic skills are not impressive.

Where are you from?

I am from Hopkins, Michigan.

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is my Father; he is a very persistent and hard working man. He has worked in a blue collar setting for 39 years and counting. I strive to perfect myself to the best of my ability and display work ethic like his.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Growing up I played baseball, ran cross-country, wrestled, and played basketball. When I became I high school student I limited my sports to football, wrestling, and baseball.

Did you play any other positions in football?

Besides Safety I have played QB, RB, Corner, KR and PR.

At your position, what separates you from others?

The safety position requires many skills to master. I believe what separates myself from others is my football instincts; aggressive run fitting, and great ball skills. I have a HIGH passion for being the first person to the football. My pursuit and effort has consistently rewarded me with success.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When breaking down film I often look at alignment, keys, tendencies of the QB and often times lineman (or tight ends) give away the run/pass read right away.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Toughest player I have every played may have been Krishawn Hogan from Marian.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I am not sure exactly who I would compare myself to but I would like to think of a blue collar worker that loves to hit like John Lynch/Brian Dawkins.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle in life I have had to overcome was my thoughts of transferring my first 2 years at CUAA. I have overcame these thoughts by the help of God, family, and my great friends/teammates I have made here at CUAA.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Pre-game rituals usually involve reminding myself why I play the game and that this is my time to relieve tension and play the game I love with passion.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is tackling and playing the ball.

What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness could be press man coverage.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I am a thorough man that loves the sport of football. Through God, my passion, and my work ethic I would NOT disappoint when given the opportunity to continue my football career. I am a very coachable and hard working man that has a relentless pursuit to perfection.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite NFL player growing up had to be John Lynch or Ed Reed.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

I would have dinner with my Grandpa Holshoe I have never met, Sean Taylor, and Eva Longoria.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

I am not sure the first “big item” but I have promised my mother the first paycheck is going to her.
